Saxophone Information
Some saxophone information for you to read and digest. When it comes to saxophones and saxophone info everyone has an opinion, and I mean everyone. Who once said you can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time? Well, in the world of the saxophone change fool to please. It's seems you can rarely please any of the people ever. If you are new to this then be warned, rarely are two opinions the same about a given sax, mouthpiece, reed or ligature. The sad thing is that there are so many opinionated people dishing out information about saxophones that it's hard not to take note of what they say. Do youself a favour. ignore the oafs. You will know an oaf because of their answer. Generally being "it's crap" or "it's ****"
Sax Info badly given
These people are everywhere and they will happily ruin your day, mostly because they have no life they could call their own and as such feel the need to force verbal nonsense onto someone else just to get noticed. Most of these people seem to be of the opinion that they have the perfect set up and anyone elses set up is bad. The trouble with these people is the information about saxophones that they give is normally based on knowing someone who spoke to a mate who had heard that someone had seen someone else play a bum note.
Playing saxophone is about being an individual. Yes we all aspire to sound like a great player, but as time goes by you will develop your own sound and playing style along with sax preferences like type of reed, mouthpiece and sax. Then you will develop your own sound and what could be better than being known for your tone and your tone alone. The man on the right built probably one of the most successful wind instruments ever and in the process sparked debates that will never go away. Who is the best player? best sax? best reed? best song?Guidance is good, but tainted verbal diahorrea can mess you up and set you back such a long way. As you start your journey through the miriad of sax info available to you take the time to find other views and opinions. Look for reviews that are balanced and fair and not verging on libel or slander. There are good sites out there and good opinions only slightly ruined by the voice of the uneducated fool. Good Luck trawling through the saxophone information available and good luck with your playing.
