Saxophone Song

We all want to hear a good saxophone song. Now lets hear some serious slow dance favourites. I have to confess both of these make me cringe. The sax are great but they just bring back so many memories of drunken nights in discos (nightclubs used to be called discos!) desperately searching for my next conquest. The first is a classic as is the second but probably for different reasons. Most people remember the opening sax on the first whilst the second was more about getting your hands on a lady for the slow dance finale.

Careless Whisper - Tenor Sax by Steve Gregory

When this came on at the nightclub it always signified the night was coming to an end and the hunt was on. Was I ever that drunk or that desperate?! By the way, the sax solo is written by George Michael, pretty good for a man reknowned for his singing.

True - Tenor Sax by Steve Norman

As above this is another night ender. Again it signified I'd failed and needed to do some serious looking. Spandau Ballet have had their differences over the years but now seemed to have called a truce and are to reform, which will please many ladies of the eighties. If you want to skip the slush the sax solo starts at 2:59
