Yamaha Tenor Saxophones
Want Yamaha Tenor Saxophones? Good! The Yamaha Tenor Sax is one of the best around and one of the cheapest, good tenor saxes where tone and quality can be pretty much assured. As Yamaha Saxophones go it also one of the most abundant so the second hand market is always touting a bargain. The range is the same as the alto range except for the prefix YTS (Yamaha Tenor Sax). Yamaha tenor sax prices from new for a YTS275 start at about £850, but again shop around. The above is about the cheapest I've seen. Although I did see one at an unbelievable price of £600. So unbelieveable infact, that they must have priced it wrong and it went up to £855 a week later! The range as follows: - YTS 275 - Student
- YTS475 - Intermediate
- YTS62 - Professional
- YTS62S - Professional (Silver Plated)
- YTS82Z - Custom Z Series
- YTS82ZS - Custom Z Series (Silver Plated)
- YTS82ZUL - Custom Z Series (Unlacquered)
- YTS875EX - Custom EX Series
- YTS875EXG - Custom EX Series (Gold Plated)
- YTS875EXS - Custom EX Series (Silver Plated)
Identical to the alto range except for the obvious inclusion of a 'T' instead of an 'A' All Tenors are fabulous so it stands to reason all of the above are fabulous. Stop dithering, get your hand in your pocket and buy one! More seriously, they have a smooth sound, with great intonation and for a beginner, picking up a 275 is probably one of the smartest things you can do. Good luck if you are thinking about a Yamaha Tenor Saxophone, although you don't really need too much luck to pick up a winner.
