Yamaha Yas875EX

Yas875ex. The Yas 875ex alto saxophone is as good as it gets for the Yamaha alto saxophone range.

The top of the range this sax offers everything you could want from a sax. Great tone, smooth action and flexability to fit in with all genre of music.

The Yas 875 offers usual refinements like a high F# key, adjustable thumb rest, mother of pearl key inlays and a hand engraved bell.

Finishes go along the same lines of the Yas82 and give you the options of gold lacquered (yas875ex), Silver (yas875exs)and black (yas875exb).

Lets not kid ourselves here. This is top of the range for Yamaha and as such you would expect nothing less than perfection. Reviews I've read indicate that's exactly what you'll get as well. You actually do seem to get what you pay for with this offering.

Yas 875ex Prices

Price As New

Prices for this seem to hover around £2700 although one site was offering it for £3200, a pointless offering I feel. Now at this price you've really got to consider whether you want this sax or the Yas82z custom model as both of these saxes have a comparable price. Only playing both will give you the answer.

Used Prices

Another rare second hand purchase. Lets face it, if you buy one you are unlikely to sell because you bought it for the sound and the pro level playing. That said of the available ones I've seen current prices seem to start at about £1800. Bear in mind that with bidding it will probably surpass £2100. So if want top of the line you can do no less than check out a Yas 875ex.
